You can select "no" at registration and AJSC will keep and direct your volunteer levy towards rewarding, reimbursing, simplifying or paying for people to fulfil the roles required to keep the club running. We (and the rest of your team) will still expect you to engage and contribute to the normal activities and expectations of running your child's team (orange roster, pitch set up and pack up, selling your teams allocated raffle tickets etc.)
Coach - Critical role for the club - without coaches we have no teams. Make your desire to coach during the season known to the club registrar (registrar@ajsc.org.au). We have coach specific training during the year and provide structured development programs at the club during the course of the season. Ensure you select Coach Role during registration - the volunteer levy will be waived and you will receive one complimentary registration per team that you coach. Referees - Without referees we do not have games. We need referees for U8 to U17 Age groups. Referees can be aged 12 to Adult. Referee fees increase with length of game, complexity (SSG vs FIFA) and age group. Contact the club for more information on fees and Training available - you do not need to be a member or AJSC or play for AJSC to be a referee for us. All are welcome. Team Manager - if you are the official team manager (confirmed by the coach and your contact details as team manager are logged in our website you will be refunded the volunteer levy charged at registration.
Ground Marshal - Key role to provide support for all AJSC and visiting coaches, players and spectators. Role will be coordinated by the Game Day Coordinator. Ground marshals field questions around fixtures, weather conditions, help with responding to incidents, general contact for smooth running of AJSC grounds on game day. Volunteer levy will be refunded once >4hrs of marshaling time has been logged with AJSC.
Girls Carnival - there are two ways to get refunded. Be an active and recognised member of the Girls Carnival Committee or be assigned a role/task prior to or on the Carnival day that 4 hrs or more. Volunteer levy will be refunded once time has been logged with AJSC.
Line Marking - Either you are the clubs recognised grounds coordinator and organises volunteers to mark the lines or you mark lines of all AJSC pitches once during the season including looking after/cleaning AJSC line marking equipment. Volunteer levy will be refunded once time has been logged with AJSC.
Social Committee - AJSC wants to lift the number of social activities it holds and increase our sense of club by making use of the great facilities we have at our disposal. If you are a recognised member of the social committee that delivers one event during the season the volunteer levy will be refunded.
Assistant Referee (Running the Lines/Lines Person) - Your FIFA team will be required to supply one lines person per game. Complete the 2hr training course and do at least 2 games as lines person to the satisfaction of the coach and game referee.
Other Skill - What can you contribute? What things do you know, are passionate about, or skilled in that you could contribute to AJSC. Contributions that are recognised by the committee to improve our club will be refunded the volunteer levy.
