Girls at AJSC

An all girls competition is proposed to be offered in the following age groups

Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 17.

This is subject to the number of players that register and the number of teams in each age group.  The competition will be altered to ensure a good number of teams to ensure a variety of competition during the season.

The all girls competition is offered by FSW in line with national governing body recommendations and guidelines for providing female specific playing opportunities that encourage greater participation and retention in the sport.

AJSC supports these initiatives with a policy that all girls registering with AJSC, who are eligible for these age groups, will be placed in all girls teams as first preference.  If you desire your daughter to play in a mixed team please email registrar@ajsc.org.au with this preference and reasons for such a request. Ability to offer the preference of playing in a mixed team will be based on age, skill, development recommendations (from academies etc), availability of a position in a mixed team and impact on other club members of such a move.

All Girls Competition 

Under 10 - (7 on pitch + Subs) 

Players eligible for Under 9, under 10 age groups will be placed into this team

Under 12 - (9 on Pitch + Subs)

Players eligible for Under 10s (skilled players looking to be challenged and play up) and players for Under 11 and under 12 will be placed into these teams.

Under 14 - (11 on Pitch + Subs)

Under 17 - (11 on Pitch + Subs)

In all age groups any player that is 2 yrs or more under the age group (i.e. 12 playing in U14, 10 Playing in U12 etc) will need to be assessed and approved by Football West to play up - this process will be facilitated by the club and competition when required.

In Under 6 and Under 7, all teams are mixed.
